From Learners to Leaders

In many churches, women long for meaningful spiritual growth, but they often connect best through teaching styles and settings that acknowledge their unique ways of learning. Research shows that women often learn through relational connection, storytelling, and collaborative discussion—approaches that can differ from traditional classroom methods. This session explores why and how to equip women to teach God’s Word effectively to other women.

Participants will learn how to design Bible studies that engage both hearts and minds and lead discussions that encourage spiritual growth. Practical tools will be offered for selecting curriculum, fostering relational connection, and maintaining theological faithfulness. Whether you are a pastor, a women’s ministry leader, or a mentor, this session will help you build a vibrant, Christ-centered teaching ministry for women.

Alycia Cameron’s lifelong passion is to empower women together in studying and sharing God’s Word. As the head of the WELS Women’s Ministry Titus 2 Team, she focuses on creating Bible studies and resources that equip women to apply Scripture to their daily lives and share with those around them. Alycia has experience leading women’s groups and Bible studies in a variety of church settings, from fledgling mission congregations to large, established churches. Her ministry work has been centered around fostering connections among women over an open Bible through everyday interactions. A graduate of Luther Preparatory School and Wisconsin Lutheran College, Alycia blends a deep appreciation for Christian education with a data-driven approach to ministry. When she’s not leading Bible studies, she enjoys her remote work as director of strategic operations at Service Direct, knits profusely to create warm wearables for Wisconsin winters, hikes and travels all over God’s creation, and spends time with her husband and two active sons in the Milwaukee area.
