Keynotes

Keynote Speakers

The keynote sessions are meant to touch on larger strategic and cultural issues that are before all of American Christianity, affecting every congregation. This year, the keynotes touch on major themes that are woven into the “Christ through us” long-range strategic plan for WELS. In that plan we ask God to provide us with the following attributes in abundance:

  • Courage: the boldness to speak truth and lead faithfully despite opposition.
  • Conviction: the unwavering confidence in the truths and efficacy of God’s Word.
  • Character: the gospel-shaped integrity that earns trust.
  • Consistency: the daily habits that shape our individual character and collective culture.
  • Curiosity: a posture of humble inquiry that seeks to understand more deeply and explore new possibilities.
  • Clarity: a disciplined habit of critical thinking that evaluates ideas with wisdom and discernment.
  • Collaboration: a Spirit-led partnership that values the contributions of all of God’s people.
  • Coordination: aligning complementary gifts and roles so the Body of Christ works together faithfully.
