Empowering Homes as the Primary Place of Youth Discipleship
What would happen if a congregation did just two things: worship and build spiritually strong homes? This breakout will cast a vision for churches to think that boldly while also exploring practical steps any congregation can take right now. Together, we’ll consider how to build a comprehensive discipleship map that grows members into bold and mature faith, how to reimagine catechism as a family-led ministry, and how to raise up lay leaders to shepherd other families. Participants will leave with renewed vision and concrete ideas for shaping a congregation where faith isn’t just taught at church but lived at home.
By the end of this breakout, participants will be able to:
- Cast a vision for a congregation that prioritizes worship and family discipleship as its central focus.
- Design or adapt a discipleship map that intentionally develops members into mature, resilient Christians who can both support and challenge their spiritual leaders.
- Reimagine catechism ministry as a family-led model, training and equipping parents to disciple their own children.
- Identify strategies for raising up lay leaders who can shepherd families in their homes through Bible study, prayer, and spiritual mentoring.
- Apply practical tools that move their congregation toward a culture where faith isn’t just taught at church but lived daily at home.
