A Comprehensive Study of WELS Young People
Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.” That work begins with careful listening. What are young people saying about faith, life, and the church? How are they processing spiritual truths? And what does that mean for how we teach, mentor, and encourage them in Christ? This breakout presents findings from a carefully constructed study—rooted in primary research, including extensive survey work with young people across WELS. The goal of this study was not to chase trends but to gain a clearer understanding of those we’re called to disciple.
Attendees will walk away with data-driven insights that challenge assumptions and invite thoughtful reflection. You’ll hear what young people value, how they engage with the gospel, and what opportunities exist for deeper connection. Whether you’re a pastor, teacher, parent, or leader, this session will help you hear what today’s youth are truly saying—and respond with clarity, humility, and confidence in God’s Word.
