How Leadership and Operations Must Evolve as Churches Grow
God’s Word doesn’t change, but the size and demographics of congregations do change. As congregations grow or contract in the number of souls and forms of gospel ministry, they may need to adjust their governance and operational structure to efficiently support and administrate local kingdom work.
This workshop will help participants:
- Assess whether such adjustments would be beneficial to their congregation’s ministry
- Determine what type of governance and structure will best serve their congregation size and culture
- Develop a strategy for approaching their leadership group about governance and structure adjustments where needed
- Cover the process for the review and approval of changes to a congregation’s constitution and bylaws
Rev. Dennis Klatt has served in the pastoral ministry for 37 years. In 1988 he was assigned to St. Peter, Darwin, Minn., and has been serving Holy Trinity, New Hope, Minn., since 1994. For the past six years he has also served as president of the Minnesota District.
