Balancing Faith, Wisdom, and Action
Congregations face all kinds of challenges—budget pressures, facility needs, declining volunteer energy, or strategic decisions about ministry direction. Left unaddressed, even simple problems can grow complicated, and the greatest danger is when they begin to strain relationships or cause division. Problem-solving in ministry is therefore not only about finding workable solutions to increase operational efficiency; it is also about leading in a way that preserves unity in Christ’s body.
This breakout will emphasize that problem-solving in the church is not just about putting out fires—it’s about guiding people through a clear and constructive process. Leaders will be encouraged to approach challenges at three levels: faith, which anchors our confidence in God’s promises; wisdom, which applies sound reason, clear analysis, and careful discernment; and action, which puts workable solutions into practice. Participants will learn practical ways to identify issues, weigh options, navigate difficult conversations, and build consensus for lasting solutions. You’ll leave with tools to handle problems in ways that protect unity and keep the gospel mission front and center.
