Practical Tools for Parents and Church Leaders
Everywhere our children turn, they hear the same message: “It’s all about you.” Whether through social media, sports culture, entertainment, or academics, today’s world consistently reinforces a me-centered story that promises fulfillment but leaves young hearts restless. Yet as Christian parents, grandparents, teachers, and leaders, we know the truth: real life and a sense of identity is found only in Christ, not self. So how can we help the next generation resist the pull of “me” and grow into disciples who live for “him”?
This breakout will offer biblical encouragement and practical direction for raising Christ-centered children in today’s world. Together we’ll explore how to cultivate daily habits of faith at home, from family devotions to open conversations about culture. We’ll consider how to set wise boundaries with the influences that compete for our children’s hearts and how to help them root their identity securely in Christ. Parents, churches, and schools each have vital roles to play in this effort. Participants will leave with renewed confidence that the gospel is powerful enough to shape resilient faith—even in a me-centered age.
