Dr. E. Allen Sorum
Encouraging and Equipping Spiritual Leaders, Dr. E. Allen Sorum
Presentation Description
Every week if not every day, spiritual leaders find themselves in circumstances that demand a response. Often there is an urgency to these circumstances. People are looking to us for direction or a solution or a resolution. Every Christian person has vocations that require leadership. We know what bad leadership looks like. What is good leadership? What is good Christian leadership? Can we as Christian leaders get better at leading?
These are good questions! Instinctively, we not only want to be good Christian leaders. We also want to develop new Christian leaders.
Participants in this sectional will work through two topics that will feature God’s Word and key leadership concepts. We will use a format that will equip you to take these leadership topics home with you to get you started in your local training and inspiring of Christian leaders. Our topics will take us into discussions about agency, urgency, motivation, leadership versus management, and handling crisis. We will also talk about a hermeneutical approach that will allow us to use many of our favorite Bible stories to encourage leadership in your setting.
NOTE: Signing up for this sectional will count as two breakout sessions. Most breakout sessions run for 60 minutes. Due to the volume of material for this sectional, it will run for 120 minutes.
